Being biased doesn’t make you a bad person! This Lunch & Learn will discuss how implicit associations (or biases) can affect our everyday thoughts, feelings, and interactions. Implicit biases can influence and perpetuate rape culture, victim blaming, and stereotypes surrounding sexual assault. In order to better help respond to survivors in a trauma-informed way, understanding and challenging our implicit biases is crucial. This session is intended to help individuals explore what implicit bias is, how it develops, and how it can help foster self-awareness and growth.
