Cherrie Holder began her journey with WASAC in 2009 as an advocate in a program that served survivors in poverty. She began her current position with the Protection Order office in 2012.

She learned what a big difference that advocacy can have in a survivor’s journey during her time in college. She began to volunteer at the area domestic violence shelter on college breaks and later worked as a shelter advocate during the evenings. Cherrie graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. Cherrie has unique understanding of how complicated the court system is for survivors and with her work in the Protection Order office, she can give assistance to those in need. To know that in your darkest hours, that there is an advocate ready to walk with you, is why she does what she does.

Cherrie is a very proud wife and mother.
