Kami has worked for the Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center for over 12 years. Kami first began working for WASAC in 2005 as an Advocate. In 2007 Kami was the first advocate to work at Sedgwick County Courthouse as a Protection Order Advocate, assisting local survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and stalking seeking orders of protection. Kami’s current role is Director of Outreach Counties. In this position, Kami supervises staff providing advocacy services in Cowley and Sumner Counties. Kami has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Wichita State University. Kami is passionate about her desire to help those who have experienced trauma and abuse and believes everyone deserves a safe space to heal and process their experiences.

When Kami is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog, Coco. She loves plants and is working hard to earn her green thumb, particularly around growing succulents. Kami is happiest when found outside playing a competitive game of softball with her family, grilling, creating her oasis in her backyard, or spending time with her favorite people.
