Kelsi’s approach to therapy holds the belief that trauma is already serious – healing doesn’t have to be. Her roots are grounded in attachment theory, leaning into the “whys” and “hows” to our pattern of responses. Kelsi holds her license in addiction counseling, drawing the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, taking on a behavioral perspective. Additionally, she facilitates play therapy, as she brings music, toys, videos, and more as a way for therapy to be a safe, connected, fun space for processing.
Outside of work, her hobbies include participating in movement activities, particularly basketball, swimming, and walking Paige (her dog), or binge streaming for the evening. Her choice of TV has 1 of 2 things on, the sport in season: football, basketball, baseball, or a reality show. The night routine includes reading a chapter of the book that lives beside the bed, alongside a cup of hot honey tea and Paige!
