Mary Stolz first started her career with Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center in 2006 and served as an Advocate and as the Director of Advocacy before becoming the Executive Director in 2024.  Mary has bachelor’s degrees in Women’s Studies and Mass Communications from Kansas State University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Wichita State University.  Mary started this work with the core value that everyone in our community has the right to safety and justice.  Through the years, she has learned that safety can be a complicated journey and justice looks different for everyone.  Standing alongside survivors of sexual violence is a privilege she does not take lightly.

When she is not at work, she is living the true life of a former farm kid who is now living in the city.  She loves to chase her children around, stand and look at her vegetable garden, and watch her spoiled chickens roam the backyard.
